As Sierra Leone marks its 64th Independence Anniversary, Ambassador Abu Coomber, Special Envoy for Trade and Investment, made a significant donation of vital medical supplies to the Office of the First Lady to support healthcare delivery across the country.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The donations comprised *100 ultra-modern medical beds, 10 VSM virtual signs monitors, stretchers, wheelchairs, electronic medical sterilizers, orthopedic eye cameras, BP machines, clutches, catheter trays, boxes of surgical gloves, surgical gowns, external syringes, and a 2008 Honda CR-V vehicle, among other critical items.*_<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The donation was made possible through a strategic partnership between the Office of the Special Envoy and WAAIC Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Massachusetts, USA, led by founder and CEO Mr. Josh Anyaosah and his wife. WAAIC Inc. has been operational in Moyamba District, working to improve food security and access to clean drinking water. Special appreciation was also extended to Boston Children\u2019s Hospital, Franciscan Children\u2019s Hospital, Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital, Residents of Brookline Community, Massachusetts, our colleagues, nurses, doctors, friends, families and the broader Boston community for their vital support in the<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Receiving the items on behalf of the Office of the First Lady, a representative expressed profound gratitude, stating, *\u201cWe are deeply appreciative of this timely donation from Ambassador Abu Coomber and his partners. In his remarks, Ambassador Abu Coomber thanked His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio<\/a><\/span> for trusting and appointing him as Special Envoy, Her Excellency the First Lady Fatima Maada Bio<\/a><\/span> , for the trust and support accorded to him, Francis Ben Kaifala<\/a><\/span> for believing in him. He reaffirmed his office’s commitment to promoting development through partnerships and humanitarian interventions.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
