In a heartfelt homecoming, Ambassador Abu Coomber, Sierra Leone\u2019s Special Envoy for Trade and Investments, returned to his alma mater\u2014Government Secondary School Kenema\u2014on May 2, 2025, to participate in the school\u2019s 74th anniversary and the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Kenema Old Students Association (KOSA).
\nRepresenting KOSA America, Ambassador Coomber delivered an inspiring address, highlighting the development of the Ultra-Modern Multipurpose Complex currently under construction at the school. His remarks stirred deep emotions among attendees, especially fellow alumni, as he emphasized the collective responsibility of all KOSA members in shaping the school\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe future\u2014this multi-million Ultra-Modern Multipurpose Complex being built at K-School\u2014is in our hands. What we do as KOSA members is about shaping our future and creating a better world for generations to come,\u201d he stated.
\nWalking through the familiar halls and grounds of his former school, Ambassador Coomber was overcome with nostalgia. From the classrooms where he first discovered his passion for diplomacy during \u201cDrilling Times,\u201d to the sports fields that hosted fierce interhouse competitions where he developed his leadership abilities, every part of the school evoked powerful memories. Ambassador Coomber credited K School with laying the foundation for his successful career, instilling in him the core values of integrity, hard work, and dedication. It was here that he came to understand the significance of diplomacy and its role in fostering global cooperation.<\/p>\n

The 50th anniversary of KOSA marks a milestone in educational and community excellence. It celebrates five decades of commitment by dedicated teachers, determined students, and a vibrant alumni network that has helped make Government Secondary School Kenema a beacon of academic and moral excellence.<\/p>\n
